Compersion is weird, man.
My meta (my wife's boyfriend) just told them (my wife) that he loved them for the first time last night, and I can't stop smiling. It almost feels like how I felt when I told my wife I loved them for the first time. I am so giddy and I can't stop smiling. I was worried that I'd get super jealous since everything is moving a lot faster than anyone excepted, but I'm so so happy and I thought that I'd share this happy moment with everyone! 💜💛💜💛💜

You too, are the best possible Meta I could ever imagine. I'm so glad you came into my wife and I's lives, and make us as ridiculously happy as you do. My wife deserves so much more love and can give so much more love than only 2 people can share, and I'm ass over tea kettle happy that they get to share those feelings with you. You make them so unbelievably happy and feel loved and cared for, and that's all I could ever want for them and for you. 💛

omg I get this a lot. I'm so happy for my partner that he has other people to make him as happy as we make each other, but at the same time I have occasional 'but I wish I was with you right now' jealousy (not so much the 'they shouldn't be with you' kind). At least I'm normal!

I needed to read this today! My Bf is giving my meta a “life partner” ring this week, I think on her birthday. And while I am so so happy for them, there’s a hint of ….something … right there. I’m glad I’m not alone in feeling the two different feelings!

I completely understand, especially with something as a ring. I'm super new to this, so I'm still learning to handle all the negative feelings that come along with the positive ones. If you ever want someone to talk to about this or anything, my DMs are open. 🥰 I know it sometimes helps to have a third party to talk to.

My partner recently developed a different level, more intimate relationship with a long term mutual friend. Neither of them was seeking or expecting anything like that, so when he came home positively glowing and thoughtful we talked through what they were now feeling (as much as he wanted to volunteer, I didn't pry).
When he explained how unexpectedly intimate and loving their meeting was, my heart just melted with joy. Both of them deserve and need more love in their lives. To see them finding it together gave me shivers!
Now I'm imagining them together sexually and it gets me so aroused. That may never happen, but if it does I know I'll be thrilled for them.
Compersion is a wonder drug!

I may be a bit emotional... haha 😅 I played my wife and I's first dance song, and I started to tear up... then sent snap videos of me singing it to them... then they called... and I just kinda broke down... just so many feelings and emotions between how much they care and love each other, triggering memories of how I felt when I told them that I loved them for the first time, and how much more I love them now.. 😅😅😅

My girlfriend and I had sex for the first time the other night, but my wife seemed that she didn't handle it as well as she thought she would. She seemed a lot happier after we had discussed it though.
Then my wife and her girlfriend (the same woman) had sex last night, and I am very happy for her. I knew that she would feel differently after having shared an experience with someone I care about in the same way, but she seemed so happy when she came back, I am still a little giddy thinking about it.
This is brand new to all of us, so I wasn't sure how well we'd be able to handle it. I'm so glad it turned out the way it has.

That's so awesome! I'm kind in your wife's position. We are in a vee right now, so they get to share a lot of new relationship experiences, and I really don't know what is going on in their heads, well irrationally. We have complete open communication, and answe any questions or concerns I have. They even give me step by step plays for specific moments, and that really helps. I think since their new relationship energy is a lot more lax than my wife and I when we first started dating (we were a bit younger and had a lot more energy in general lol), my brain over thinks things and tells me that they are way different alone than they are around/with me. They both have reassured me that they aren't and that has really helped a lot. Especially when my meta reassures me!
